One of the few good things in DS is the "headlight": a light attached to the current camera that can be turned on when needed. It can be very useful when trying to adjust clothing, etc., in part of the scene where the lighting is a bit dim. Something similar for Poser would be handy.

I'm not sure I understand your problem. You can parent a light to a camera in Poser now.

You can parent a light (not an infinite one) to the camera. If you want an infinite one parented, create a point light or spotlight. Parent it and then change it to an infinite light in the properties tab. You can also turn it off from there. Or if you want, you can go into the materials room and create a simple color more that is set to black. Plug it into the color, diffuse, and specular ports. This will light your scene while working, but won't render in either superfly or firefly. This way, you don't have to remember to turn it off when you render

Thanks! After all these years using Poser I'm still learning things.

You don't need to parent a light at all. Create one or two infinite lights to light the entire scene (I generally turn them down to 40% each or less), turn off shadows on those lights, and set the diffuse and specular on each to pure black in the material room. And you're done.
