just got a new pc I'm not sure if I have my DS set up correctly for my pc.I was wwondering if I can ask advice herre. My pc specs are:

Windows 10 Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-Core Processor 3.59 GHz Installed RAM 16.0 GB System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Video Card Radeon RX 580 Series Chip type: AMD Radeon Graphics Processor (0x67DF)

So I was wondering should I have issues with Iray? Would it still be uber slow? I was told this should be compatible to a Nvidia card but I'm not sure I have things set right lol.

Iray GPU runs on Nvidia cards. You have an AMD card. This means CPU rendering and thus slower than GPU. However if your older specs are lesser than the new ones CPU rendering will of course be faster than the previous set up.

If you also own Poser 11/12 the AMD card will render in GPU mode and a lot faster too.

I have both P11/12-still have to install them lol. It is a tad faster than my older pc is.Is there a way to hook up a Nvidia card in this system & switch between the 2 of them?

Hm that i would not know. If you have a desktop most boards have 3 slots for a videocard however there has to be sufficient cooling for the cards. I own a laptop so for me not possible to have an extra card without an external one. But yes you can set up in Studio which card you want to use. I have an nvidia 2070 super max q card and love it so much.

You can of course update the video card to an Nvidia one. But which one is compatible with your board or not is something you have to ask someone in a tech store i think. Also depends on the budget too. Nvidia ones are not cheap.
