Subject: Renders in Superfly are blank

RAMWorks ( ) posted Fri, 12 February 2021 at 9:58 AM · edited Thu, 14 March 2024 at 7:26 AM

I'm running Poser 11 for testing and setup purposes but now I'm getting NO good renders out of it. I can render fine in Firefly but Superfly is returning these lightening fast renders because it's not rendering ANYTHING! I've even uninstalled and reinstalled. Still the same results. No fancy settings either, just the Default which should work out of the box! What do I do?

Might be a coincidence but since midweek my Poser UI has become very sluggish and scenes that were rendering ok last weekend now are very slow and crash in progressive mode. Received Windows updates KB4601050 and KB4601319 on Wednesday. If you're using Windows would be interested to know if you also received these patches.

Update to above - I reinstalled the above updates (in between this process Microsoft kindly added another update), the Poser GUI performs ok now and a strange issue with metallic surfaces rendering black appears to have gone away too but the link between these problems and the patch are too circumstantial to say its was the cause. The problem with the progressive mode crash was down to me not setting a large enough bucket window (known bug).

Re-installing/updating the graphics driver may also help (you didn't mention CPU/GPU render)
