Subject: Problem remapping MDP-F202 to take Victoria 3 textures

For some reason, when I import the V3 .uvs file into uvmapper, I get a big mess of overlapping areas, i.e. the face map is mixed up with the body map, hands and feet also both overlap the body. I got this to work years ago, but now that I'm trying to do it again I'm stumped. What's going wrong?

That's how the maps are set up for V3, and, in fact, most models from Victoria 1 onward. It doesn't matter to the model; the face part will just see the face texture, the body will see the body texture and so on.

It only matters if you're creating your own textures, in which case, you have to delete the parts you're not currently using, so you'd delete all the head bits if you're making a body. If that's what you're doing, UVMapper Pro will allow you to select the areas you want to delete, then, erm, delete them. Don't save the model, just save out the template. Reload the model and select the opposite textures, delete them, then save the next template.

It sounds more complicated than it is. Short version, if you're using premade textures, don't worry about it in the least.

Coppula eam se non posit acceptera jocularum.
