Subject: Export Options check boxes

I've been away from pretty for about ten years now. I had 2010 Pro, and recently got 11 Pro, and have a question which might foolish. It might have been answered a hundred times on here in the part too, if that's the case, please forgive...

Basically, I just want to export a confirming piece of clothing to a format that I can reload and use as dynamic cloth. I remember being able to do this and all the pieces were converted to a single fabric "zone" and the rigging discarded. Now, when either exporting, or importing, the welds option doesn't seem to work. The pieces will import, and appear to be a single mesh, but come apart as soon as dynamics are applied. Thoughts?

I’m not at my poser computer so I’m going by memory so these won’t be exact. Under figure menu is a skinning menu. There’s one called single bone or close to that. Convert to that and then try exporting and importing.

Not all conforming clothing will convert to dynamic easily. If the seams of the mesh don't lineup correctly or there are different types of pieces like pockets, buttons, buckles, etc then the conversion will not work. Not enough subdivisions can cause problems also. Your export option is to create an object file with Weld body part seams and Include body part names in polygon groups checked on, scaled at 100%. From what I understand, Poser does have a problem with export welding and that is something that is being addressed for P12. Another alternative is to convert the conforming clothing into a prop and that can be done directly through the Fitting Room. The mesh is automatically welded and the rigging is discarded within Poser.
