Subject: Place all maps in the right way

Hello everyone ! I happened to buy a couple of materials (PBR). I downloaded everything and in the re package are the following maps:

Albedo (the colored one) Displacement Gloss Metalness Normal Roughness AO

Is there somewhere how to behave inside Poser's material chamber to position all these maps in the right way? Thank you

In most cases, you will not all these maps at once, only what is relevant to your prop or scene. Albedo is your diffuse map. Displacement is obvious, it's your displacement map. Gloss map should be plugged into a Gloss or Specular node, the same goes for the Roughness and Metalness maps. Normal maps are essentially Bump maps, and AO is your Ambient Occlusion. As I mentioned, all these maps are not relevant in Poser, most of them are designed for gaming. I would recommend googling each map and reading about each feature for more background information. Youtube is another source to tap, especially concerning Blender.

Also, Poser does have some legacy PBR materials under the Materials section of the Library. I suggest loading those into your scene and study the Material Room layout.

Look at the PhysicalSurface root node. Just remember that all the maps except the albedo should have gama 1 set.
