Subject: Help with Poser content creation

Hi everyone,

I have been trying to create clothing content for L'Homme but is having problem with the clothing distortion when the figure is posed. Fixed the JCMs but is still having issue with distortion at the body part joints area.

Also, how can I set the item so that it can be subdivided.

Anybody can help?

Regards DZheng!

I can't help you with the JCM's so I'll let someone else answer that but for Subdivision all you need to do is go to your Menu and make sure Poser Unimesh is ticked - Figure:Skinning Method:Poser Unimesh

Then in your figure's Body Properties you can set the subdivision level you'd like for both the Preview and Render. I tend to keep mine at 0 for Preview if I have a lot of figures so that it won't take up memory while setting up a scene and just subdivide during rendering.

Hope this helps! Cathy

If I save a figure with Unimesh turned on is there a way to have it automatically on when I load the CR2 file or can't this be done ?

bwldrd ( ) posted Wed, 23 June 2021 at 11:47 PM · edited Wed, 23 June 2021 at 11:48 PM

@midnight_stories .. If you saved it back to the library with it set on Unimesh, it should load back into poser as unimesh and whatever levels you had it set at (ex 2 for body .. eyes seperate and set at 0, etc.) at least every figure I've used has always done so.

That's what I thought to, but no matter what I do it comes back in with Unimesh turned off. Even my mammoths are not coming in with Unimesh turned on. Will have a try on my 2nd computer. Thanks anyways !

I'm thinking it's the AMD processor that's the problem, as the 2nd computer is an intel and it worked fine !

I have an AMD processor and was able to save the skinning. Not sure what the problem is. The only thing I can think of is possible when you saved the figures, you used save geometry with one and not with the other. Did you try opening the figures from your intel computer with your AMD computer and see if that works? What figure were you using. I used Alison and Vicky4 for my tests

With the AMD it saved it with Unimesh on, then opened it up on the intel and didn't have Unimesh on, So just saved it on the intel and with it on, closed poser and open it up again on the Intel and it worked fine. But then took the same file that was work in the Intel and opened it on the AMD and it didn't have Unimesh on. The only other difference is DSON is installed on the AMD. That will be the next thing I take out. Long as it's work on one I should be OK !
