Well...the 5.10 beta is out now.  You could try that.  So far, I've found it much better than 5.09 when it comes to memory, etc.  YMMV, of course.

Shadeus, care to share the atmosphere and render settings you are using?  Radiosity takes forever.  What size image are you doing?

volumetric

global illumination

1024 x   16:9
final
when i first tried to render is  was going fine/ normal then started to run out of memory  i have 768 ( including about 3 gigs of virtual) then it stoped at the end with the glow. and also after that i had other problems and had to reformat now when i try to render it has like 514 Hours... the volumetric would probably be whats making it a realyk long render anyway?

Looks like the glow is the problem. Do you mean you have some glowing materials, Or are you talking about some lens flare effect? If you have glowing materials, check e-on's software update page, to see if this problem has been solved by 5.10, and download it, but bear in mind it's still in beta. Personnally, I'll wait for official release.

How about faking the GI?
It will take a very long time if you are using GI with volumetrics, as it is trying to do calculations for the whole volume of the volumetric material.

I would have thought, just glow wouldn't create such a long render time. Glow is s post rendering effect isn't it?

Cheers
